Parent-Teacher Advisory (PTA)

Parents are a child's first and most important teachers.

The Rice Elementary School PTA helps to support a variety of functions and activities throughout the school year and serves in an advisory capacity on issues related to Rice Elementary School and/or the district. The mission of our PTA is to not only provide fun activities and parties, but to also secure for all children the highest advantages in physical, mental and social education.

Giving Back

The PTA sponsors many special fun events for Rice Elementary students and their families each year. These include The Annual Halloween Party, Spring Picnic, Rice Loves Its Kids Month Activities and more! In addition, the PTA assists students in fundraising to provide support for many individual programs at Rice Elementary School including student field trips, The Grandparent Program and Deep Portage.

Getting Involved

Membership Dues

$10.00 per person, $6.25 for any ISD 47 employee or $15.00 for a family membership (2 members). If the dues would be a hardship for your family, a scholarship is available. Membership forms are available in the Rice Elementary Office. Members receive automatic paid membership to the MINNESOTA PTA and NATIONAL PTA, Rice PTA voting rights, and access to Members’ Facebook Group where ongoing communication and documents are posted.
